Toby Mason has made the decision to leave ClearBank to take some time out to follow other interests. During his two years, he played a critical role in bringing the bank through regulatory approval to becoming a fully licenced bank, established the initial client proposition and pricing, and built out sales, operations and the program management function. Additionally, whilst at ClearBank he oversaw quadrupling the size of the team, live testing with clients, signing the first contracts for agency banking and bringing a significant amount of those clients to live and transacting status, including partnerships with some of the best-known names in payments and banking. While we have found some great replacements for Toby’s role, we will miss Toby at ClearBank, and we wish him every success.
We are therefore delighted to announce the arrival of Nigel Walder and John Salter to the ClearBank® Executive Team.
Nigel Walder has joined ClearBank as Chief Operating Officer responsible for Technology, Operations and Client Onboarding. Nigel has over 30 years’ experience within Financial Services and has held Chief Information Officer positions at some of the world’s leading firms including Barclays, Deutsche Bank & NatWest. Nigel was also the founder and CEO of Business Control Solutions; a Management Consultancy and Operational Control software provider whose clients include many of the industries global investment banks. Nigel’s relatively unique combination of large corporate technology roles and a highly successful entrepreneurial career is ideally suited to help ClearBank in its next stage of growth.
John Salter has joined ClearBank as Chief Digital and Customer Officer responsible for strategic planning and execution of our business development activity across both digital and physical channels. John has over 25 years’ experience within Financial Services and Client coverage and has held a variety of senior positions at some of the some of the world’s leading banks including Deutsche Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group. John’s extensive experience of Corporate and Financial Institutions and track record of building successful client facing teams will prove invaluable as ClearBank accelerates the deployment of its world class capability for the benefit of existing and new customers.
